1. Who operates this site

This website, published at pfventures.ch, is operated by PF Ventures GmbH, a limited liability company entered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, under CHE-484.989.176. By accessing or using the site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. Permitted use

The site is made available for information only. You may read it and print or download individual pages for your own non-commercial reference, keeping any notices intact. You may not reproduce, alter or redistribute its content without our written consent; scrape, crawl or otherwise extract data from it by automated means; interfere with its operation or with the servers and networks behind it; attempt to reach areas you are not authorised to reach; introduce malicious code; or use the site for any unlawful, deceptive, abusive or defamatory purpose.

3. No offer and no advice

It is not addressed to retail clients. By using the site you confirm that you meet those criteria; PF Ventures GmbH accepts no liability for consequences arising from an inaccurate confirmation, whether made by you or by someone acting for you.

5. Accuracy and availability

We compile this material with care but give no warranty that it is complete, accurate, current or uninterrupted. Holdings, figures and company information may change without notice, and past results are no guide to future ones. We may alter, suspend or withdraw the site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, including for maintenance or security work.

The companies named on this site reflect a range of relationships and are shown for identification only. Some represent economic exposure held directly or indirectly, including through funds, structured products, certificates and special purpose vehicles; a number of these are held personally rather than by PF Ventures GmbH. Others reflect advisory, board or operating relationships, or engagements carried out through affiliated vehicles, rather than any shareholding. Naming a company does not imply that it endorses PF Ventures GmbH, that any position in it is currently held, that a holding is or was a direct equity interest, or that any advisory relationship exists or is ongoing. The text, layout, design and PF Ventures marks on this site are owned by PF Ventures GmbH or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Downloading or printing content grants no rights of use beyond those in clause 2. Third-party names and logos are the property of their respective owners and appear for identification only.

8. Third-party sites

Where we link to other websites we do so for convenience. We do not control or review them and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy or legality. A link implies no endorsement.

9. Electronic communication and security

Communication over the internet is not inherently secure. Messages sent to us by email are not confidential and may be delayed, intercepted or lost; we accept no liability for that. Please do not send instructions or confidential material by email, and do not treat email as a channel for anything time-critical. Protecting your own devices against malicious software remains your responsibility, and we accept no liability for damage to your hardware or software arising from use of this site.

10. Access from other jurisdictions

This site is not directed at any person in a jurisdiction where its publication or availability would be unlawful or would require registration. Anyone accessing it from outside Switzerland is responsible for observing the law that applies to them.

11. Liability

So far as Swiss law permits, PF Ventures GmbH excludes liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of this site, from reliance on its content, or from its unavailability.

12. General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and PF Ventures GmbH concerning the site and replace any earlier understanding about it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under them. If any provision proves invalid, the remainder continues to apply. We may revise these terms at any time by updating this page.

13. Governing law

Swiss law applies. The courts of Zurich have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule to the contrary.

PF Ventures GmbH, Zurich, is the controller for personal data processed through this website, within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What this site collects

This site has no contact form, no user accounts, no newsletter, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies. It sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser that identifies you. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard access logs, which include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system. These are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and are retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

Typefaces

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore contacts servers operated by Google when the page loads, and your IP address is transmitted to them. If you would rather avoid this, blocking third-party requests in your browser will leave the site fully readable in a system typeface.

If you write to us

When you email team@pfventures.ch we process your address and the content of your message in order to respond, on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries. Correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant to our dealings with you, and longer where Swiss commercial law requires records to be retained.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell personal data and do not disclose it to third parties, except to our hosting provider as part of operating the site and where the law obliges us to. Where data reaches providers outside Switzerland, we rely on the safeguards recognised under the FADP.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, its correction, or its deletion, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to team@pfventures.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

PF Ventures GmbH invests its own capital. It is not a bank, a securities firm, a fund management company, a manager of collective assets or a portfolio manager licensed or supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA, and it does not manage assets for third parties.

Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of a collective investment scheme under the Swiss Collective Investment Schemes Act, or the provision of financial services requiring authorisation under the Financial Services Act.

Who our advisory work is for. The advisory, M&A and operating services described on this site are offered to companies and to their boards, management teams and shareholders, on a corporate and transactional basis. They are not investment advice, portfolio management or any other financial service provided to private clients, and no part of this site should be read as a recommendation to a private investor.
